Next Stage Wakefield is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and growing the local music community in Wakefield, Massachusetts and beyond. We create stages, events, and opportunities for musicians of all levels to perform, connect, and develop their craft.
Our flagship event, Wakefield Porchfest, has become a cornerstone of the community — transforming neighborhoods into vibrant, walkable music venues and showcasing the incredible talent that exists right here at home.
Building on that foundation, we are expanding into new programs and events that lower barriers to entry, support emerging artists, and create more pathways for live performance. Our goal is simple: make it easier for more people to play, perform, and be heard.
